The Big D's Flannel
This flannel shirt used to belong to The Big D. He wore it many, many years ago, during his days as a construction worker on Long Island. The buttons at the cuffs have fallen off, the elbows have holes in them. The shirt is returning home, on me.

I thought you were going to leave it out east. Are you bringing it home?
What I meant by returning home was the initial journey to Long Island. It came into The Big D's possession here, on LI, its original home. The shirt ain't gonna make it back to Chicago. Ye olde blog will chronicle its story as it unfolds...
