Steve thinks he bought a car at his nephew's anniversary party. He hasn't had a driver's license for over 2 years.

Here's another take - not degradation, but rather a tribute to a family member whose mind is not what it use to be. Experience this disease firsthand and you'll understand the need to find humor in this -- keeps one from going ballistic over the fact the we have no control over what's happening to a loved one. Steve is struggling with the facts as a result of his disease, it's hard to watch the person you once knew slip away - [Moe] here is simply sharing his very personal story and I feel his pain.

They say when we age, whatever we were gets...intensified. My dad was a sociopath to begin with...what were once benign lies have morphed with dementia to behavior that no family wants to see, feel or submit to. The only recourse is to turn our backs....or take complete control. A sad fate for us all.
